The premise was good but these two were kinda ridiculous. I mean....really, Eddie? Not once, but twice. He literally became hypnotized. How could it be that easy for him? And his family? Wow?And Sandra. She was a dang fool. Just immature. I mean, this could have been so good, but I spent half the book angry. Get it if you want to, but don't say I didn't warn you.I was passed at both of them.Maybe this all means the author did a good job, but if I'd known what the hero and heroine were going to do at the first sign of trouble, old loves, and new interests, I would have passed.
This story was written to show that love sees no color and has no boundaries. Eddie comes from a traditional Mexican family while Sandra is African American. They are determined to be together regardless of the obstacles in their way including their families, new faces or blasts from the past. If you are looking for a love story that has very little drama and a happy ending then you've stopped at the right book. Take a ride with Sandra and Eddie as they work to make their relationship last and prove to everyone around them that their love is here to stay.
This story hit all the marks that represent the obstacles that are faced when everyone outside a relationship judges it on visual differences. It showed how they both were faced with lustful temptation but allowed their love to win in the end. It would be interesting to see how they progressed throughout the years of marriage.
This was a good read. At times I felt as if Eddie was weak and placed himself in situations that he should've handled better. Sandra was a good person to forgive so easily. It's sad to know that there are so many interracial relationships out there and families continue to be so jaded to progress. Love not hate.
This was a very interesting story. I really liked the realism of the story. The families reaction to the couple expresses some of the feelings that are hidden. You wouldn't think those emotions exist, but they still do. This is a different take on interracial romance. It is usually black and white or black and Asian. Great read.
I loved reading this book. I only wish there was more. The book had strong female characters and a couple of betrayals you would not think to expect.
I could have done without the cheating, took away a full star. They were an otherwise cute couple. Still very young and immature though. Writing was ...good
The synopsis pulls you in but when you start reading you are fast forwarding looking for the exit. Don’t waste your time
